Regional Director: Michael Penna
Michael is a third-generation farmer in Australia with thirty plus years’ experience in agriculture with mixed cropping. Michael has been involved as an industry representative on numerous agriculture boards including Ausveg and Queensland Crisping Growers. Recently purchasing a cane farm in the Herbert district, Michael is eager to represent and support members to enhance the cane industry.

With deep roots in the beef industry, I live and work with my family business across North West Queensland and the Northern Territory. My career has strengthened my ability to provide clear direction, prioritize efficiency, and understand risk and compliance in business management, vital in today’s evolving landscape. I am passionate about investing in agriculture’s future, engaging with and supporting the next generation, and staying informed on technological advancements within the industry. A strong, representative voice in the sector is essential, and I am dedicated to forging meaningful connections, influencing stakeholders, and creating impactful strategies to advance agriculture.

Lisa Magoffin
Lisa Magoffin has a lifelong background in the rural industry, growing up in Western Queensland and gaining hands-on experience in rural property management, beef and sheep production, and sustainable land practices. She is actively involved in Wagyu and commercial cattle operations, manages an Aussie White meat sheep flock, and has a strong interest in carbon farming. A long‑time AgForce member and former Winton Branch President, Lisa has also served on the Longreach Pastoral College Board. She is passionate about representing regional producers, strengthening biosecurity, and supporting the next generation of agriculture leaders.
Sam Fryer
Sam Fryer is a cattle producer based in North Queensland, operating a commercial cattle business focused on Brangus and Ultrablack cattle suited to northern conditions. Alongside his on-farm enterprise, Sam works in agricultural communications and industry engagement and is the host of the A Place to Call Home podcast, which shares stories of land ownership, succession, resilience and innovation across regional Australia. Sam is passionate about supporting the next generation of producers, strengthening regional communities, and contributing to practical, producer-led outcomes for the Queensland agricultural industry.
Kenneth Coleman
Kenneth is a North Queensland cattleman, from a rural family based in the Charters Towers region since the 1860’s, carrying forward generations of hard work and connection to the land. Today, he leads the team at Coleman Stock Feeds, helping drive a family business built on quality, reliability, and service to producers across North Australia. longside this role, Kenneth manages the family cattle properties and runs a Brahman Stud operation, focused on building high quality, fertility-based genetics, suited to the region’s conditions. Kenneth is committed and passionate about rural life, strongly advocating to strengthen and enhance the agricultural industry in Queensland.
Scott Harrington
I have lived north of Julia Creek all my life with my family where I have been involved with a generational family business involving both sheep and cattle in the lower gulf country. I have always maintained an involvement with local community events that support our district. I feel industry representation is very important.
