AgForce welcomes the Queensland Government’s fast response to the current QLD floods wreaking havoc on the North’s Primary Producers.

A coordinated $2 million emergency fodder support package is now available for primary producers in the McKinlay Shire, and support provided through joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) can be extended to other impacted locations.

The impact floods and natural disasters can have on primary producers, their livestock, crops and equipment can be devastating, and timely financial assistance can play a critical role in supporting recovery and getting operations back on track.

“A quick response is paramount in these situations, and we thank the Prime Minister for taking this on and dealing with it promptly during the holiday season” says AgForce General President Shane McCarthy.

If you are in the McKinlay Shire, for more information please go to McKinlay Shire Dashboard emergency news update to access emergency fodder support. The Government is working to extend the support to more of Queensland's Flooded communities, and more information will be provided soon.
