AgForce supports the intent of the National Biosecurity Reform Agenda but believes its success will depend on practical implementation, sustainable funding and measurable improvements to preparedness, response, recovery and operational capability. The submission calls for increased investment in early detection and surveillance, nationally consistent traceability systems, stronger government coordination, dedicated recovery funding and workforce development, while opposing increased biosecurity costs being passed on to producers.
